How is fat dissolving done?
Belkyra (deoxycholate) is a substance used to destroy the walls of fat cells whereby your body will eventually evacuate them.
Where can Belkyra be used?
Typically Belkyra is used in small areas such as under the chin. A consultation is required to ensure this treatment is suitable for you.
How many treatments will I need?
This is multifactorial but typically requires a series of 3 sessions.
How long will my appointment take?
30-45 minutes.
Will my treatment hurt?
Most clients tolerate this well because numbing cream is applied prior to treatment but there will be significant swelling post procedure.
How long before I see results?
Swelling will continue to reduce in the first 1-2 weeks. It may take as long as 3-4 weeks where swelling is still mildly present. By weeks 4-6 you should notice the result of one session. Most clients require a series of 1-3 sessions for optimal results.
What will I look like immediately after treatment?
Your skin will be red, feel tight, and begin to swell. This swelling will peak at 24-48 hours so regular ice therapy is recommended as part of your aftercare.
