Why do we use Platelet-Rich Plasma to improve hair and scalp health?

PRP stimulates new hair growth and thickness while reducing loss. This works by increasing blood supply, nutrient and growth factors availability to activate dormant follicles at targeted times of the hair growth cycle.

How many appointments will I need?

All clients are different but most benefit from a series of 3-6 sessions. Usually this is planned as a series of 3 treatments (spaced 6 weeks apart) on a scheduled basis, then maintenance sessions can be spaced further apart. Nurse Sophie will work with you to curate a plan to best suit your individual needs.

What will my treatment be like?

A blood sample is required for PRP hair restoration. We will draw this sample from your arm, then spin it in the centrifuge machine. This spinning separates the blood components (red blood cells, white blood cells, and plasma), which now allows the platelet-rich plasma to be drawn up and injected into the scalp.

How long before I see results?

You will notice an improvement in hair thickness and growth after 2 treatments (spaced 6 weeks apart), but individual results vary and typically best results occur after at least 4-6 treatments.

"Sophie is incredible!  So knowledgeable, patient and amazing at what she does.  I am so happy with my results.  Highly, highly recommend Sophie’s services if you are looking for high quality work."
